WM reactor ( Russian ВМ ) describes a series of Soviet pressurized water reactors that are used to propel submarines .

Type series

The WM-A reactors were installed in pairs in the first nuclear-powered Soviet submarines of the 627 , 658 and 659/675 projects . You make each 70  MW th at enrichment of uranium of 21%.

The WM-4 has an output of 90 MWth and was used in the submarines of the projects 667A (identifier for the complex with two reactors here: OK-700), 670 (one reactor: OK-350) and 671 (two reactors : OK-300 with 75 MW th ) installed. Project 667B carried the modified WM-4-2 (also OK-700).

The WM-5M only one reactor was the only boat of Project 661 used. He made 177 MW th . The degree of enrichment of the uranium used is unknown.
