The Wadi ar-Rumma ( Arabic وادي الرمة, DMG Wādī ar-Rumma ; and Wadi al-Rummah ) is in the province of al-Qasim , Saudi Arabia situated Wadi . The capital of the province, Buraida is on the edge of the wadi.

geography

The wadi extends over a length of about 600 km over the entire province of al-Qasim. It runs from Medina in the west in a northeast direction to the dunes of Nafud ath-Thuwairat . The Wadi ar-Rumma is the longest and widest valley of the entire Arabian Peninsula. Its last and lowest section is Wadi Al-Batin , through which the western and northern borders of Kuwait run.

use

The wadi is used for agriculture. In the province of al-Qasim, 200,000 tons of dates are harvested every year . Heavy flooding can occur in Wadi ar-Rumma.
