Election of the House of Representatives of Bosnia-Herzegovina 2018
The election for the 7th Bosnian-Herzegovinian National Assembly (since the Dayton Agreement in 1995) took place on October 7, 2018. The turnout was 49.4%, which is about 1.7 percentage points below the turnout in 2014.
The strongest party in the new National Assembly was the Stranka demokratske akcije (SDA) with a share of 17.01% of the valid votes and a loss of 1.73 percentage points compared to 2014. The Savez nezavisnih socijaldemokrata (SNSD) with 16.03% represents the second strongest force in the House of Representatives. With one seat less, the SNSD is closely followed by the Socijaldemokratska partija Bosne i Hercegovine (SDP) and the electoral alliance, whose most influential party is the Hrvatska demokratska zajednica Bosne i Hercegovine (HDZ). Altogether, two new parties, each with one seat, managed to enter the National Assembly for the first time. These were the Nezavisni blok and the Pokret demokratske akcije (PDA) with a share of the vote of 2.51% and 2.32% respectively.
42 candidates, who ran for 14 different parties, were elected to the 7th Bosnian-Herzegovinian National Assembly.

Nationwide
3,355,429 citizens in a total of 5,516 constituencies were eligible to vote in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a total of 733 different candidates in their eight electoral units.
The turnout was around 49.4%. A total of 156,444 votes were invalid or empty.
