Election to the National Assembly of Suriname in 2005

The 2005 election to the National Assembly of Suriname took place on May 25, 2005.

The 51 parliamentary seats of the National Assembly (DNA) were distributed as follows (in brackets the election result of 2000):

  • Nieuw Front (NF) - 23 seats (33)
  • A Combinatie - 5 seats
  • Democratic Alternative 91 (DA 91) - 1 seat (2)

(These three parties or alliances formed the governing coalition Neue Front Plus, with 29 seats)

(These three parties / alliances formed the opposition, with 22 seats).
