Wakiso is a town in the Central Region in Uganda . It forms the capital of the Wakiso district of the same name and is one of the five parishes in the district. Thanks to its location north of the city of Kampala , its population is growing rapidly.
location
Wakiso is located on the main road between Kampala and Hoima , the Kampala-Hoima Road. The city is located approximately 20 kilometers by road northwest of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.

According to the Köppen-Geiger climate classification system, Wakiso has a tropical rainforest climate (Af). The annual average temperature is 21.8 degrees.
population
In 2002, the national census put the population of Wakiso at 20,073. In 2014 a new census put the population at 60,210.
