Wala (people)
The Wala (also: Waali , Wali ) are a people in Ghana with approx. 138,000 (2003) members. The language of the Wala is the Wali from the group of Gur languages . The Wala live on the 10th parallel north and west of the 2nd longitude west longitude in western Ghana. They are neighbors to the Birifor , Dagaare and the Vagla . The capital and seat of the King (Wa Na) of the Wala is Wa , the capital of the Upper West Region .
