Walburgahaus (Werl)

Walburgahaus

The Walburgahaus is a listed secular building in Werl , a town in the Soest district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The former council school is a plastered building from 1558. The inside of the building has been rebuilt several times. It was completely renovated in 1982 and expanded to the south. The gable was provided with a ridge attachment. The windows on the ground floor facing the church square are stone post windows. The portal walled up in the north wall currently serves as a figural niche. At the fall of the coat of arms is attached and refers to the year of construction.
