Forest of Nations
The Forest of Nations is an initiative of the Jewish National Fund for symbolic tree planting in Israel . It was inaugurated by the German Federal President Horst Köhler during his state visit to Israel in February 2005. In the “Forest of Nations” heads of state and government from all over the world are invited to symbolically express their bond with the State of Israel and their hope for its prosperous, peaceful future by planting a tree .
