The Rispige sword plant ( Echinodorus paniculatus ) is a plant from the family of the frog-spoon plants (Alismataceae).
description
It is a medium to large and vigorously growing herbaceous perennial plant that forms rhizomes. The long-stalked and very narrow elliptical leaves grow out of a rosette. The upper side of the leaf is light green.
Occurrence
The natural range of this marsh plant is Central and South America. It occurs from eastern Mexico to Argentina and Paraguay.

Like most other species of the sword plant genus , the panicle sword plant is one of the popular aquarium plants . It is considered to be undemanding, but forms air leaves very quickly. It is suitable for middle and background as well as for group plantings. Aquariums should hold about one hundred and fifty liters.
