The Waldgaststätte Gambrinus is a restaurant in the Huywald , near Halberstadt .

location

The restaurant is located on the edge of the Huywald in Röderhof , about ten kilometers from Halberstadt . A hiking trail leads directly from the parking lot of the restaurant into the Huywald, which offers various excursion destinations.

history

The master brewer of the local brewery, J. Nagel, built the restaurant in 1857. The facade of the building is listed.

Gambrinus is still a popular destination to this day. Located in Huy, the listed restaurant is surrounded by the Huysburg monastery , the Daneil cave and the glacier pots . The figure Gambrinus on the facade of the house is an eye-catcher of the restaurant . After the restaurant had been for sale for years and was increasingly falling into disrepair, a new owner was found in 2012 who reopened the traditional restaurant on May 1, 2014.
