Forest history
Forest history is the branch of forest science that deals with the historical relationships between forests and human society.
In contrast to this, forest history deals with the formation and change of the forest not affected by human influence in prehistoric times. The main tool here is pollen analysis .
As soon as man begins to change the forest in its extension and composition according to tree species in the course of history, there is a relatively broad area of overlap between forest and forest history.
