The Waldner Group is a company headquartered in Wangen im Allgäu , with around 1,400 employees and subsidiaries in Europe and around the world. Waldner manufactures laboratory equipment, equipment for science classrooms, process systems and packaging machines for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

history

The company was founded when Hermann Waldner took over a bottle factory in Wangen in 1908. In the 1930s, his son Anton joined this craft business, which initially manufactured equipment for the dairy and cheese-making industry in the area, but soon also for all of Germany.

Anton Waldner expanded the company into a global company. The product range has been expanded and process systems and isolators, fruit cooking systems , packaging machines and systems (Dosomats) for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries are now manufactured at the Wangen site .

The manufacture of laboratory equipment began in 1950 with the first bench for the local dairy school . Production developed from the laboratory furniture sector to modular laboratory furnishing systems, making the company an industry leader. Waldner's current range of laboratory furnishings is called “Scala”. This furnishing system is delivered from southern Germany all over the world.

In addition to the laboratory equipment company, there has also been a separate division for school equipment and equipment for science classrooms since the 1980s. This was expanded in 2015 to include products from Hohenloher Spezialmöbelwerk . Waldner's educational brand is now called Hohenloher.

A brand was also created in the 1950s with the so-called Milchpilz , a kiosk building that was sold over 50 times. Waldner, a specialist in tank construction in stainless steel, was later involved in space travel when it came to building the Spacelab .
