As Walid is called a Egyptian armored vehicle , which was filed as Radtransportpanzer modeled after the Soviet armored personnel BTR-152 . The first vehicles entered service in 1960 and are still in service with the Egyptian Army . Some vehicles were exported to Sudan and Burundi , among others .

The Walid is a four-wheeled, armored vehicle. The crew consists of two men. In addition, ten infantrymen can be transported. The vehicle is based on a Magirus Deutz chassis. The armor is made of steel and was made in the homeland. A 7.62 mm machine gun is available as armament . In addition, a version with an 80 mm multiple rocket launcher was produced. The Walid has no optical equipment or NBC defense.
