The Wallburg Kleiner Eschhorst is the castle stable of a likely Slavic fortification from the 8th / 9th centuries. Century near Göhren-Lebbin in the area of ​​the Mecklenburg Lake District . The circular wall has a diameter of about 60 meters and a height of about 1.5 meters. The interior is about 0.5 meters higher than the surrounding area. Aerial photographs suggest that a bailey has joined in the north. The function of the system has not yet been researched. It is not known whether there was a connection to the nearby Old Castle .

Monument protection

The castle stable of the ramparts is a ground monument according to the monument protection law of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Investigations and targeted collection of finds are subject to approval, and accidental finds are reported to the monument authorities.
