The Walliser Lied or Walliserlied Wallis, our home country ( French Notre Valais ) or the Walliser Hymne or Welsh anthem (French hymn valaisan ) is the anthem of the canton of Valais , Switzerland .
The anthem was written in 1890. The original German text comes from Leo Luzian von Roten , the melody from Ferdinand Othon Wolf . There is a German and a French text version due to the bilingual nature of the canton. In 2016 the Valais anthem was declared official. The Valais song has long been popular as a Valais anthem.
