The residential commercial building Wallstrasse 11 is in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Gladbach district .

The building was built in the 19th century and entered into the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach on April 12, 1999 under No. W 009 .

The property is located in the historic city center of Mönchengladbach on Wallstrasse, which connects Hindenburgstrasse with Marktstieg.

architecture

An eaves , five-axis , two-storey brick building with an early classical plastered facade and an axially located house entrance. From here access to the ground floor rooms on the side, which are used as business premises.

The street front is characterized by a flat protruding plinth, the facade plaster , which is horizontally structured by plaster lines, and high rectangular window formats with profiled window frames. In the building half on the ground floor to the left of the entrance to the house, a subsequently added shop window with a cast-iron central column. The ground floor is separated from the upper floor by a cornice . The eaves cornice resting on consoles conceals the flat gable roof . In the backyard there are extensions that were formerly used on the ground floor as a workshop and laundry room and on the upper floor as a workers' apartment.
