Walram I. (Arlon)

Walram I († before 1032) was Count of Arlon . He was mentioned in 1052 and is considered to be the progenitor of the later dukes of Limburg . His son Walram II was probably the first Count of Limburg. Walram was married to Adelheid (Adele) von Lothringen, daughter of Duke Dietrich von Lothringen . In 1052 he concluded a precarious contract with the Archbishop of Trier Eberhard von Trier about property in the Eifel and on the lower Moselle.
