Walter Durañona

Walter Durañona is a former Uruguayan swimmer .

Durañona took part in the freestyle discipline at the 1949 South American Championships in Uruguay . At the end of the 1940s he was next to Gonzalo Mari, the most powerful swimmer in Uruguay in this swimming style. He was also a member of the Uruguayan squad at the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in 1951 .
