from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Walter Kuhn (* 1964 ) is a German computer scientist .

Life

Kuhn studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe until 1992 . From 1993 to 1997 he did his doctorate with a dissertation on Performance Prediction for Parallel Program Skeletons at the University of Basel . From 2005 to 2008 Kuhn studied at the Open University and graduated with an MBA.

From 1993 to 1998 he worked in various positions as a computer scientist at Ciba AG and later Novartis in Basel . He then worked as a management consultant and practice leader for Enterprise Application Integration at Computer Sciences Corporation until 2004 . As the leading architect at Swiss Life from 2004 to 2005 and at Siemens in the Business Innovation Center Zurich as a senior architect and senior project manager from 2005 to the end of 2006, there were other industry mandates.

Between 2002 and 2006 he also gave lectures at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in the field of EAI and the University of Basel in the field of software development. Kuhn has been lecturing regularly at the Zurich School of Economics (HWZ) since 2003 .

From 2007 to 2015 Walter Kuhn worked full-time at the HWZ and was a member of the university management. He researches, lectures and publishes primarily in the field of software development and enterprise application integration . At the end of 2007 he was appointed professor by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Kuhn is married and has two daughters. The family lives in Germany.
