Walter Radant

Walter Willi Radant (born April 26, 1922 in Cologne ; † February 22, 1969 there ) was a German football player .

Career

The striker was one of the players who played in their first game on February 15, 1948, two days after 1. FC Köln was founded . In the 8-2 win over Nippes in 1912, Radant scored five goals.

Until promotion to the Oberliga West , which succeeded in 1949, he scored 30 goals in 40 games and thus had a very large share in the promotion. In the major league, Radant was used five times for FC. He didn't manage to score any more. In 1950 he left the club.

Most recently, Radant worked as a machine fitter. He was married to Else Bohn since 1947. He died in 1969 at the age of 46 in his apartment in Cologne-Lindenthal .
