Wang Chao (politician)

Wang Chao (王超; * April 1960) is a Chinese politician .
Wang Chao has held various positions in the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (then MOFERT) and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China (MOFA) since 1982 . In 2013 he became Deputy Foreign Minister. He appears in connection with state visits by Chinese politicians to Europe and is the contact person for German prime ministers on visits to China.
Today he is Secretary General of the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries known as 16 + 1 .
