Wanis Kwabebi
Wanis Kwabebi ( Wanis Caves ) is a cave monastery in the southern Georgian mountainous country in the province of Samtskhe-Javakheti near Aspindsa and the more famous cave city of Vardsia . The complex was laid out in the 8th century and consists of a protective wall from 1204 and a tunnel labyrinth , which runs on several levels in the mountain flank.
The complex also houses two churches . A younger stone church in good condition is at the end of the ramparts, and a smaller, domed church hugs the rock at the level of the highest tunnels.
