history

The coat of arms was designed by the Bad Tölz heraldist Ernst Rößner .

The green Dreiberg in the coat of arms stands for the component mountain in the place name. The silver rose on a red background in the upper half of the shield comes from the coat of arms of the Counts of Moosburg, who owned land in Berglern in the Middle Ages and exercised the rights to raise toes and the church bailiff there. In order to avoid confusion with the old coat of arms of the city of Moosburg, which had adopted the coat of arms of the count family unchanged from 1281, only one rose was used in the coat of arms of Berglern instead of the original three roses.

The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior approved the use of the coat of arms by the municipality by resolution of September 4, 1962.
