history

The coat of arms was designed by the Bad Tölz heraldist Ernst Rößner .

The Seeblatt in the coat of arms of the community comes from the coat of arms of the Tegernsee monastery, which was wealthy in Finsing from around the 8th century to the 19th century and played an important role in the historical development of the community.

Also influencing the history of the community were two noble families, the Finsinger von Finsing and the Widerspacher. The inclined beam with the three roses comes from the coat of arms of the von Finsing family. The Widderhorn comes from the Widerspacher coat of arms.

The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior approved the use of the coat of arms by the municipality by resolution of October 15, 1963.
