history

The coat of arms was designed by the Gautinger heraldist Heinz Bessling .

The Freising Mohrenkopf in the municipal coat of arms reminds of the patrimony of the bishops of Freising in Wörth.

The two ripples stand on the one hand for the place name, which means something like water-bathed land , on the other hand for the Sempt and Schwillach waters located in the municipality mark.

The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior approved the use of the coat of arms by the municipality with a resolution of February 20, 1967.
