Heraldic coin

Under a crest coin understands Numismatiker a coin , which on one side of the sign of the publisher or the ruler within the scope in the form of an embossed emblem have. Occasionally only parts of heraldry , such as common figures or heraldic animals, are shown. The term is an umbrella term in coinage. Examples are the so-called Wappentaler , the Markuspfennig with the image of the Markus lion , the lily groschen and the lily gulden. The latter shows the Florentine lily .
