The Wartburg Kirchdorf School is a partially German-speaking school in South Africa . It is located in the village of Wartburg near Pietermaritzburg in the province of KwaZulu-Natal and is one of the most prestigious and award-winning schools in this province. The motto is “STILL FIRM AND FREE”. The school was founded in 1881 in the area mainly populated by Germans.

The school has a pre-school, elementary and high school section with a total of around 390 students and 25 teachers. In the first two classes, the pupils are taught in their mother tongue, from class three onwards, Afrikaans is added.

The school's student dormitory was built in 1948 and is operated by the two Evangelical Lutheran parishes in Wartburg. About 120 of the students are housed here.
