The wash house (French: lavoir ) in Sauternes , a French commune in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built in 1866.

The wash house , open on all sides, is located north of the Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church (St. Peter in chains).

It consists of a simple wooden construction with a gable roof , which is covered with semicircular roof tiles. The wash house is fed with water from a spring.
