Washington's Birthday (Eng. "Washington's Birthday") or Presidents 'Day (Eng. " Presidents' Day ") is an American memorial day, which is celebrated on the third Monday in February.

Originally February 22 , the birthday of George Washington , the leading figure in the Revolutionary War and first President of the United States , was celebrated as a national holiday. In the mid-1970s, Congress decided to establish a public holiday in honor of all US presidents. However, federal law continues to refer to this holiday as "Washington's Birthday."
