Kuwait City water towers

The water towers of Kuwait City ( Arabic أبراج الكويت) are an ensemble of three reinforced concrete towers in Kuwait City :

  • a 185 meter high tower that serves as both a water tower and a lookout tower,
  • a 145.80 meter high tower that serves as a water tower
  • and a third tower used to illuminate these towers.

The water towers were built by Swedish companies and inaugurated in March 1979. The architects were Malene Bjørn and Sune Lindström , the engineer was Lennart Gerte.
