The water tower Heusweiler wood is a 1972 erected water tower in the district of wood , Heusweiler and is close to the highway A 1 . It is 60 meters high and has a container with a capacity of 750 cubic meters of water and is also used for directional and mobile communications. Until 1994 there was also a tower restaurant in this tower, which is accessible via an elevator for four people and a staircase with 251 steps. There is a citizens' initiative that is campaigning for the tower restaurant to be reopened, but this fails because of high costs caused by official requirements.
