The water tower of Stahlwerke Bochum was a water tower from 1927. It was located on the premises of Stahlwerke Bochum on Castroper Strasse in Bochum . He was 38 m high. It was a spherical container on a stand of the Klönne type .

From July 1991 the tower was no longer used. Four years later the first restoration work was carried out because of the rust attack. The costs of 57,800 DM were borne by the city, the country and from pots for the preservation of monuments.

After the Bochum steelworks broke away from Thyssen-Krupp, the company intended to redesign part of the factory space.

The tower was blown up in August 2012. It took several attempts.
