Wassmer (family)
Wassmer is the name of a middle-class family from Aarau that has produced a number of clergymen and entrepreneurs from the 17th century until today .
The family goes back to the pastor Brandolf, who was naturalized in 1600 (died 1623). Another Brandolf, born in 1666, “was often an Aarau mayor between 1721 and 1739”.
