The Watkins Mountains ( English Watkins Mountains or Watkins Range ; Danish Watkins Bjerge ) is a mountain range on the Blosseville coast in southeast Greenland . The mountain range includes the ten highest peaks in the Arctic , including Gunnbjørns Fjeld , the highest peak at 3,694 m . The somewhat lower peaks Qaqqaq Kershaw and Qaqqaq Johnson form the second and third highest peaks with 3682 m and 3669 m respectively. The mountain range is named after the British polar explorer Gino Watkins .

Private companies offer tours to the Watkins Mountains on a small scale. Due to its remoteness, the mountains are approached from Iceland by plane. A permit from the Danish authorities is required to enter the area.
