The Weberhaus , also known as Schöffenhaus , is a two-storey, gable- roof building with a half-hip at the rear in Weberstrasse 7 in the town of Merkendorf in the Franconian Lake District ( Middle Franconia ). The building is a historical monument.

construction

The building was erected in 1672. The massive facade dates from the middle of the 19th century.

After years of vacancy, the weaver's house was fundamentally renovated from 2000 to 2010 and was awarded the monument protection medal in 2010 . Merkendorfer artists exhibit in its rooms. It is also planned to use the building for exhibition purposes at a local carpenter's workshop.
