Weaver's Knot Well

The Weberknotenbrunnen is a fountain on Weberplatz in Stuttgart-Mitte .

The fountain was designed in 1988 by Reinhold Georg Müller . The marble fountain sculpture represents a gigantic knot , as it was necessary for weaving : Two thread ends had to be linked in such a way that the connection was not undone even when using smooth threads. But the nodes on the other hand could not be in the needles of the knitting frames or in the crests of the looms stuck.

The fountain figure stands on the narrow side of the fountain trough, which contains a shallow basin. The fountain is fed by four gargoyles in the base.
