Three vertically placed silver shuttles with black thread

The weaver shuttle , also known as a web guard , is a widespread coat of arms in heraldry .

It shows what is known as the most important tool known from manual and mechanical weaving . The town heraldry in particular makes use of this heraldic figure when the local weaving trade was significant. The number in the coat of arms is rarely more than three. It is mostly shown in combination with other heraldic figures. If the color of the thread differs from that of the boat, this must be mentioned (reported) in the description of the coat of arms . There are also only weaver shuttles without thread. Then the color of the shield can be seen at this point (breakthrough). In the coat of arms, the shuttle can take any position, the description should clearly state this.
