Wedge Tomb by Bweeng
That between 4000 and 2500 BC Built in the Neolithic BC , Wedge Tomb von Bweeng is located on the northern slope of a hill about 260 meters high, past which the Glashaboy flows north and the Cummeen to the south, in the eastern hills of the Boggeragh Mountains, near Bweeng ( Irish Na Boinn ) southwest of Mallow in County Cork in Ireland .
The Wedge Tomb is relatively large, like that of Labbacallee , which is further north near Glanworth. While the northern side, consisting of four stones, is still largely upright, the southern side has collapsed completely. All capstones are preserved.
Wedge Tombs ( German "Keilgräber" ), formerly also called "wedge-shaped gallery grave", are aisle-free, mostly undivided megalithic buildings from the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age .
Nearby are the Beenalaght Stone Row and the Garrane Stone Row .
