Wedge Tomb from Casheltown
That is between 4000 and 2500 BC. The multiple wedge tomb of Casheltown, built in the Neolithic Age , is located in a forest north of Dunkineely, east of Killybegs in County Donegal , Ireland .
Wedge Tombs ( German "wedge tombs" ), formerly "wedge-shaped gallery grave" called, are double-walled, seamless, mostly unarticulated megalithic of the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age . Casheltown is a rare triple wedge tomb. Three parallel galleries, one meter apart, oriented approximately northeast-southwest, are located in a cairn about 10.0 meters in diameter. Each has a preserved capstone. Some of the curbs of the cairn have been preserved.
