description

It has three bearing stones on each side and an overlying capstone. There are two large stones in the earth wall that can be used as the original cap stones. The gallery is about three meters long and 0.9 meters wide.

The west-east oriented Wedge Tomb ( German  "Keilgräber" ), formerly also called "wedge-shaped gallery grave", from Munmahoge is one of only two surviving Wedge Tombs in Waterford, the other is Carrickavrantry . There are currently 559 known wedge tombs in Ireland . They occur mainly in the western half of the island.
