Route requirement

Path requirement refers to the requirement to only use the designated roads and paths within a certain area (e.g. in a national park , nature reserve or other protected areas of nature and landscape protection ). It serves to protect endangered animal and plant species. In some areas it should also protect against erosion in sensitive soil such as u. a. Protect in dune areas or on mountain slopes.

In the state nature conservation laws of Germany there are formulations such as, for example, "The nature reserve may not be entered outside of the paths." In Lower Saxony .
