Defense material

Defense material is a collective term for the equipment and armament of armed forces .

Defense material includes the entire range of large equipment such as tanks, airplanes or ships, but also smaller systems and devices (e.g. radio equipment, hand weapons), or clothing and other items of equipment for military use.

Development and procurement of defense material is i. A. regulated in extensive management procedures, in Germany for example by the CPM . The following higher federal authorities are responsible for procurement :
