history
The association was founded on October 17, 1931, making it one of the oldest associations in West Germany. The founding chairman was Helmut Rütter. Rütter rebuilt the club after the Second World War .
Most successful were the women who rose to the league in 1961, the top division at the time. In 1972 they were one of the founding clubs of the Bundesliga . In 1976 and 1979 they won the ETTU Cup , in 1980 they became German team champions. In 1987 the club withdrew the team from the 1st Bundesliga to the 2nd BL. In the 1991/92 season Kleve won the championship in the 2nd BL, but renounced promotion. In 1997 the club voluntarily entered the regional league, in which the team with Brenda Vonk, Jana Timina, Maria Beltermann and Alexandra Swinnen came first in 2000/2001 and rose to the 2nd BL.
In the 2007/2008 season, the women won the championship in the regional league and thus returned to the 2nd Bundesliga, which they have been in since then. In the 2014/15 season she reached 7th place in the table.
