Experience Christmas in a new way
New Christmas Experience is a multimedia Christmas event organized by the ICF Free Church in Karlsruhe .

The charity event has been held annually since 2014 for the benefit of Karlsruhe children's aid projects. Alternating between stage and screen, actors, dancers and live musicians tell an appealing story based on Christmas . For the first three years, a cinema hall in the Filmpalast at the ZKM served as the venue . Due to the continued high demand for tickets, the event moved to the dm-Arena . It now offers space for a total of 50,000 spectators in several shows.
The event is made possible by sponsoring and donations in kind from regional companies. Each of the more than 700 actors and helpers at the event works unpaid, for example with professional audio technology. New Christmas experience is one of the largest charity Christmas events in Germany. In 2017, around 30,000 visitors saw the show. In the process, donations totaling just over 200,000 euros were collected for the children and youth ARCHE Karlsruhe eV. Karlsruhe Mayor Martin Lenz has been the patron of the event since 2017.
In 2018 Christmas New Experience will be an official part of the Karlsruhe Christmas City for the first time. A recording of the show will be broadcast in Baden-TV's Christmas program.
