Lists on the subject

The incense HW 88 Super Airweight is a signal revolver of incense & incense .

description

The incense HW 88 Super Airweight was the Revolver Arminius HW 22 Hermann incense revolver GmbH modeled. Because the HW 88 is mainly made of aluminum materials, it is considered to be one of the lightest blanket guns.

construction

The Weihrauch HW 88 Super Airweight blank firing revolver (PTB numbers 659 and 888) is a drum revolver with a swing-out drum and a short barrel. The dimensions of the frame correspond to the J-frame from Smith & Wesson , which makes it possible to use grips and holsters from these models. The handle of the HW 88 is made of aluminum and is labeled "Airweight". The drum is also made of aluminum and bears the words "Super Airweight". Almost all important functional parts of the HW 88 are made of steel, including the trigger, the hammer, the firing pin, the ejector and the swivel arm.

The HW 88 has a very smooth double-action trigger, the cock can optionally be preloaded for single-action . A fall protection prevents the hammer from hitting the firing pin if the weapon falls.

The HW 88 was originally available in two different versions, black anodized and a stainless look, each with a choice of plastic or real wood grips. However, the production of the silver-colored version was discontinued in mid-2018 due to requirements of the REACH regulation. The current model is only delivered in black anodized and with real wood grip panels. Like the prototype HW 22, the HW 88 bears the Arminius logo under the slide for unlocking the drum. The HW 88 is delivered with a launching cup for 15 mm signal ammunition and an insert to protect the thread (M10 × 1.5) in the barrel.

variants

The no longer produced HW 88 Airweight (PTB number 315) has a steel drum and thus weighs 380 grams. This variant has a larger drum gap than the successor models.
