Werkbund workshop Nuremberg

The Werkbund Werkstatt Nürnberg is a private educational institution founded in 1987 by the German Werkbund Bayern, which is housed in Nuremberg in the K4 (former KOMM). 80 students and 22 lecturers currently work there. The school is based on the Werkbund doctrine and serves as a pre-study internship and orientation year for students in the field of design. The training lasts nine months. It is recognized as an internship at art colleges and universities in the field of design and can be funded by BAföG .

The training covers the areas of design, wood, glass, metal, textiles, theater, communication, perspective drawing, art history, art and design theory.

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, a documentary was made by the Werkbund Werkstatt Nürnberg in 2007 with the support of the Soroptimist International Club Nürnberg.
