The fire corps of the Dillinger Hütte around 1880. The fire brigade founded in the factory in 1864 consisted only of ironworkers. They were allowed to wear a uniform from 1869.

The Dillinger Hütte plant fire brigade was founded in 1901 and can currently fall back on 100 emergency services. These are divided into 20 full-time and 80 part-time fire service members. This ensures that a relay (6 fire brigade members) can be deployed around the clock. The plant fire brigade handles around 200 missions a year.

The plant fire brigade only provides fire protection on the Dillinger Hütte site , on which the ROGESA Roheisengesellschaft mbH and the central coking plant Saar GmbH are also located. She is also responsible for the Saarlouis / Dillingen port.

The fire brigade has a Tanklöschfahrzeug and an assistance Tanklöschfahrzeug , several small fire trucks , a team transport vehicle , two trolley , a command and a command vehicle and a hose trolley .

The tasks of the plant fire brigade are divided into the following areas:

  • Fire Prevention
  • Emergency rescue, fire fighting, technical assistance

  • Maintenance and testing of around 5000 fire extinguishers
  • Maintenance, testing and disconnection of fire alarm systems (125 fire alarm systems with 1550 detection areas)
  • Maintenance, testing and shutdown of stationary gas and water extinguishing systems (over 120 gas extinguishing areas)
