The works foreman is advanced training in accordance with the Vocational Training Act (BBiG). The advanced training examination is regulated by legislation of the competent chambers.

The foreman takes on specialist and management tasks in the execution of construction work. He manages smaller construction sites or is responsible for several columns on larger construction sites, each of which is led by a foreman .

As a rule, the requirements for admission to the foreman examination are successfully completed training in a construction profession and several years of professional experience in the construction industry.
