Werkraum was a German music project that Axel Frank was behind. The music was influenced by psychedelic folk influences , among other things .

Since its founding in 1999 there have been various collaborations with bands such as Lady Morphia and Changes . At the same time, Frank was a member of the Austrian band Sturmpercht under his pseudonym Hanns Aufschring . At the same time, he performed as a session musician and worked as a sound and mastering engineer. New musical works were planned for 2009 and 2010; In 2009, however, the separation from the Steinklang label became known, so that there was no further collaboration with Sturmpercht. In 2015 the band announced that their work was finished.
