Werner Neitzel

Werner Neitzel , (born November 9, 1907 in Förderstedt ; † August 26, 1998 in Göppingen ) was a German swimmer .

From 1921 he was in the Magdeburg swimming club from 1896 . At the age of 17 he was German champion in 1925 over 1,500 m freestyle in the men's class, as well as in 1929 and 1930 . Neitzel was German champion a total of twelve times, setting 19 German and four European records. From 1929 he lived as a conductor and music teacher in Göppingen, where he continued to be active in the SV Göppingen in 1904 .
